Industrial Risk Management - Workshop with a difference- 9 June, 2004
The pioneers who have introduced “Risk Management” to the Sri Lankan insurance industry,Eagle is taking another stride forward with a very special workshop that will help you to look at risks from a Total Perspective.
This two day residential workshop is designed to provide the participants with greater self sufficiency in managing their own risks at work places. The objective of the program is to improve the participant’s ability to identify, assess and mitigate operational risks.
We also endeavor to create a network among the risk specialists through this workshop - making it ideally suited for managers for Safety & Occupational Health, Fire protection, Security, and also for those who are engaged as Production, Plant or design engineers .
By attending this workshop the participants are expected to accomplish more than technical training. They will benefit from the key objectives of our training philosophy ,which is to provide our participants with a “Total Risk perspective”.

Susantha Weerakoon
Susantha is a Fellow of the Institute Of Risk Management UK. He also holds a National Diploma in Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Katubedde Campus. He counts over twenty years experience in the insurance industry and further five years in the construction and manufacturing industries. He has undergone a series of international training programs in various aspects of property risk assessments, Fire and Engineering surveys, Occupational Health and Safety surveys and Risk Management.
His overseas training includes Eagle Star Risk Control Survey unit and Occupational Health & Safety Consultancy unit in the UK in 1995. He has successfully completed the International risk Engineering Course conducted by the Zurich Risk Engineering in the year 2003.
His fields of expertise include Risk Assessments, Risk Analysis Loss Investigation and Property Loss Adjustment, Fire Protection Engineering and Occupational Health & Safety Management.
In 1992 he received an award from the Association of British Insurers for presenting the most meritorious paper on Insurance at the Institute of Risk Management examinations.
Currently he is the Head - Risk Management at Eagle Insurance Company
