Eagle Higher Education Scholarships - Rewarding Excellence
Eagle conducted the 11th “Eagle Higher-Education Scholarship Awards” for Sri Lanka’s most-promising children, its initial trust-fund of Rs.10 million, stands at Rs. 36.6 million. The selection-criterion is on merit and does not hinge-upon the students’ parents being policyholders, completely deviating from the common-practice of presenting scholarships by other institutions.  Since 1994, over 336 students, across all districts of the country, have received these scholarships. Eagle also recognizes teachers and principals of award-winning students.

Community-Development
Having trained over 12,000 pre-school teachers for 13 years through Gurupubuduwa the programme is now developed to reach pre-school children. This grass-root project encourages the educational-development of pre-school children, through programmes conducted by facilitators and specially-trained employees and selected members of the agency-force.

Eagle held region-wide series of one-day-seminars conducted by counselors, educating parents and teachers on positively-molding young-adults. Teenagers are also addressed, separately.

A special grass-root series of free "Entrepreneurship Development Seminars" on positive-thinking, marketing and financial-planning, conducted by lecturers and volunteering senior management of the company was held island-wide throughout the year.

Eagle conducted regional-workshops for agents and families on financial-planning and retirement-planning. This programme also included the community within the region.
