Public Liability
A Public Liability policy protects an organisation in respect of its
legal liability (or liability at Law) to third parties for both accidental
bodily injury (which includes death, illness or disease) and/or for
any loss of or damage to property which occurs in connection with
the business insured under the policy and occurs during the period
of insurance.
Product Liability
Product Liability protects an organisation in respect of its legal
liability (or liability at Law) to third parties for both accidental
bodily injury (which includes death, illness or disease) and/or for
any loss of or damage to property caused by or arising from any goods
manufactured and/ or sold by the organisation.
Employees Liability and Workmen’s Compensation
In terms of the Workmen's Compensation Ordinance/Act, an employer
is liable to pay compensation to an employee in the event of death
or injury, including contracting occupational diseases, which may
occur during their course of employment. Compensation for Temporary
or Total Disablement is also payable in accordance with the provisions
of the Act. This liability can be insured under this insurance policy.
The policy can also be extended to cover the legal liability under
Common Law.
